Does certification have value? Well it doesn’t make you a great Scrum Master. However, companies I talk to want someone who has had basic training today and they don’t want to train them from scratch. Also, in my experience, it has served as a kind of drivers license. If your daughter got her driver’s license today and is out tooling around in your new BMW she might be a good driver or a bad driver, but one thing is for sure, she has a license to cause a lot of trouble.
